Improve your swing naturally with instant feedback from the poles. Straighten out slices and hooks, fat and thin shots.

When using the trainer, if you swing out to the left or right too much you’ll hit a red or black pole. With this feedback you’ll learn to adjust your swing naturally so you miss the poles and therefore create a pure, straight swing-path like a pro or high level amateur (without thinking of a dozen swing-wrecking technical fixes).

Unlike Irons-Only Base & Poles Swing Trainers, the Slot It Golf Trainer has a Patented Driver, Woods & Irons Design.

The older red-poles-only swing trainers were designed for practice with the mid to high irons. The red poles are 62 degrees which is the angle of a seven iron (lie angle). The optimum driver shaft angle at impact is 44 to 50 degrees (45 to 47 is most common among tour-pro’s). So, the older irons-only trainers is not compatible with long irons, other woods & hybrids, and the driver (and the slot between the red poles is too narrow for a driver-head). This is why we created a Patented swing trainer designed for practice with irons, woods/hybrids and the driver.

Unique 12-Inch Flat-Spot Base Design

All great swingers swing straight down the target line for 6 inches before and 6 inches after the impact – and are not hitting down too much (the angle-of-attack at impact descends slightly on irons and whereas the Driver Angle-of-attack is fairly neutral). This is 12-inch flat, straight zone is known as the Flat Spot. Combined with a neutral grip and solid timing, a swing that has the Flat Spot will hit shots consistently straight and cleanly (all tour pro’s and low amateurs have it). The base plate is a Flat-Spot design.

Set Up for Driver Practice

The small black alignment arrow on the base is exactly between the 48 degree black driver-poles when the driver comes through and hits the ball from a tee.

Now with tethers to affix poles to base. 4 needed, 8 included. They fit red and black poles. Also, an instruction sheet is included.

Attach the tethers to the base and loop around poles to stop them flying away when hit. Use 4 tethers for 4 poles, and you can leave unused tethers attached to base if you like. 8 included.

The ball is positioned just forwards of the middle of the slot – opposite the “B” – for ball.

Practice with four poles, two poles or none

You can actually hit fades and draw shots with all four poles in place. That said, if you’d like to accentuate an in-to-out swing to straighten out a slice or visa versa for a hook, use two poles only.

As detailed in the “progressions” on the instruction sheet, start with no ball, master swinging through without a ball before adding the ball.

Its also a useful tool also for the lower handicap golfer – to get out of an overly in-to-out swing and back to a pro-like neutral swing path.
